Just in case you have some spare time in your day, check out the links below. I'd heard about these websites called, "wiki"s, were articles are published that anyone (literally anyone!) can edit and save.

It's like an open document that anyone can contribute to, online.
I went looking to see if there was a, "wiki" about tulsa, and sure enough, there is!
I'm going to make it a point to include these wiki articles as part of our tulsa portal, but in the meantime, anyone can contribute to them!

I was able to go in and look at the section under, "Festivals and Events", and write about how YP Tulsa, and Tulsa Now have very good events calendars. It was just a simple process of looking at the article, clicking the EDIT link, and putting in the information that I wanted to add. Then I saved the article, and lo and behold!

It worked!
Try it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tulsa,_Oklahoma - main wikipedia article about tulsa.

http://wikitravel.org/en/Tulsa - wikipedia article regarding travel/tourism in and around tulsa.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broadcast_Media_in_Tulsa - coverage of broadcast media in tulsa (in the main article, i'll be including all the missing information about other tulsa media news outlets, such as the oklahoma eagle, tulsa today, the tulsa beacon, tulsa front page, the native american times, and the 4 hispanic newspapers we have in tulsa, as well as the 3 magazines in tulsa)

You know, Carlos, I think it's great that you are so pro-Tulsa. So many times all I hear is how boring and horrible Tulsa (and Oklahoma) is. It just annoys me because I love this city. It's nice and refreshing to hear someone talking it up all the time. Because, Tulsa is a neat city and it deserves it. Thanks!

i feel the same way; frustrated that more people aren't talking about the GOOD things that this city has to offer. ...such great culture, history, art, music...

i was impressed by tulsa when i first moved here in '98, and i have come to love it more and more over the years. in sept. of last year, i helped form - http://www.yptulsa.org/ - and we've got literally dozens of folks who are putting in just as much time, effort, and energy as i am in to shouting as loud as we can to anyone who will listen how great tulsa is.

and we're just getting started!
